THOUGHTS: Obituary does what Obituary does best- death metal. Killswitch's new album lacks something, although it's still better than most of the new metal bands out today. I just wish it was a little more..... pushing the envelope. Something about this album sounds very safe. Whitesnakes' re-releases are nothing too new or exciting, but Twisted Sisters Still Hungry is actually a real departure from Stay Hungry. Lots of songs that were written back in the day & just discarded are back and added to the album. Also demos of all the originals (there was none of the iconic intro cowbell originally in 'We're Not Gonna Take It'!). In addition to that the original songs were revised; re-mastered and produced the way the band has always wanted them to be.
The rest of the releases for this week I cant even be bothered to check out. I'm sure Suicide Silence will sell pretty decently, but I just can't get into those guys on album. Live they are ok.
