THOUGHTS: Hot damn, this is quite possibly the nerdiest week in metal releases in a while. Ensiferum takes the lead as the nerdiest metal band to release a pretty solid album today with From Afar. Dethklok's Dethalbum II is nerdy in a different way- it's funny but still (in the words of Nathan Explosion) 'brutal'. White Wizzard on the other hand is intentionally ironic and playful. Almost in the way that The Darkness were, but far less modern sounding and they have much more of a throwback sound (yes it's possible). Expect White Wizzard to capitalizeon the camp aspect of things.
