THOUGHTS: Rammstein is the big name on the list, but this album is really not that great.  I haven't heard the whole thing yet, so there is still some hope, but so far so bad.  It's sorta takes the same turn for the bad that Manson's mObscene did.  Not good.  Not good at all.
Converge on the other hand released a great one.  And they are on tour now with Mastodon and Dethklok and HIGH ON FIRE.  This Converge album really seals the deal that this tour is one of the better lineups out right now.
Shrinebuilder are a supergroup made up of 1 part Converge, 1 part Neurosis, and with a bit of Om, Sleep, The Obsessed, and Saint Vitus all thrown in.  The result is good, but not necessarily sounding like any of those bands.  I can see the Sleep influence and the 'aura' is somewhat Neurosis-ish, but the sound isnt.  That makes no sense, but either way this is a unique debut album.  This is my pick of the week.
Morbid Angel still sound like Morbid Angel.  The production is pretty clean on this one.
Personally, I like Belphegor, but lots of people are raving over the White Mice album.
