Anyway, Municipal Waste totally redeemed the show for me. This is the best I have seen them yet. The crowd was.... diverse. A gentle mix of young old, punk, and metal kids. Mostly late 20s metal folk, but a good amount of younger punk kids too. They played for aout an hour and a half, which is very long for a band with SUCH high energy and songs that about about 90 seconds each. The pit was non stop, and the band sounded tight. Somehow the sound guy got it right, which made me think I just dont like Brutal truth in general. Oh well. Here is a clip of Municipal Waste live last night:

Municipal Waste at the Gramercy
I saw Municipal Waste last night at the Gramercy Theater. Danny Lilker's latest project Brutal Truth opened and sounded like total shit. At one point my friend and I questioned whether the guitar was even plugged in at all. The sound guy seemed to get a little better during the middle of their set, but then lost it completely again by the end. I think I might just not be a fan of Bruth Truth. Sad because I saw them back in May at Europa and liked them then.
