Band of the Week - Warthane!

South Africa isn't exactly a hot spot to look when it comes to the metal and rock world, and even just the pop music world in general.  But, for those over in S.A. they got a nice little local scene going on, that just doesn't seem to get the international push it should.  A few years back I got to go there and visit, and I caught the metal/rock festival Witchfest.  One of the bands that caught my eye was a young death/thrash/black metal band from Johannesburg called Warthane.  They looked like kids on stage, but turned out to be one of the better bands at the festival.  Since that show I've been following the band via the internet and noticed that recently things are really starting to come together for them.  Live, they both look great and sounds tighter than ever.  Check out this recent video of them at some festival:
