THOUGHTS: Pick Of The Week goes to Howl.  Howl are Relapse Records sweethearts who break the label's overall track record by playing straight up metal-metal.  No fancy experimentation or doom/ambient avant garde shit going on.   I also give a nod to As I Lay Dying, I think this album is a bit different from their last few and I like that they were up for that.  (Lots of ____-core bands are formulaic).   And, of course hats go off to Priest  for this new live version of British Steel.  The cd/dvd combo is more than just that album live.  Expect a ton of bonus tracks, and don't expect it to sound flawless.
Pick Of The Weak goes to Solution 45 and Low Twelve. Useless.
