Dio tributes continue to pop up in NYC and everywhere...

A heads up for everyone that this Saturday Duffs in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is hosting a Ronnie James Dio tribute night that will benefit the American Cancer society.  Here is the official release:

Duff's, along with Mr. Dio's record labels, Eagle Rock Entertainment and Rhino Records, presents an celebration of the life and music of R.J.D. and a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.  While cranking DIO's back catalog, we will be conducting raffles, as well as giving away free Dio CDs and DVDs to everyone who donates $10 to the A.M.C. (we have over 100 to give away).  We'll be raffling a lot of other cool stuff too, including an original piece of Dio artwork by Joey James [I want that!], with all proceeds to go to charity. Join us for a great celebration and an even better cause.

Despite the disgusting grammar in that statement, this is a great cause and it's nice to see these type of events popping up all over.  I won't be able to make this specific tribute because I will be over at Europa seeing EYEHATEGOD, but thankfully anyone can donate to Ronnie's Stand Up And Shout Cancer fund by simply going to his site, or going directly to paypal here.
