Tuesday's Metal Releases

Baptized in Blood - Baptized In Blood (Roadrunner)
Breach the Void - Monochromatic Era [Import] (Coroner Records)
Michael Schenker Group - Live In Tokyo: 30th Anniversary Japan Tour (Inakustik)
Rhapsody Of Fire - The Cold Embrace of Fear [Import] (Nuclear Blast)

THOUGHTS:
I almost snuck ignored posting today's metal/rock releases because we really only got a few choices here.  I even had to throw in some imports to bulk it up.

Band Of The Week:
Gonna go with MSG on this one.  Yea, its not new material but the fact is that Michael is hit or miss live, and lately he has been hit.  This isn't different.
Band Of The Weak
Haven't heard these other cds yet, but I know Rhapsody's last few albums, and in general they don't stary off course.  Symphonic, nerdy, Italian power metal.  If not awful and is fun depending on one's mood.  I will go with Breach The Void as this Weak's pick.  I actually think the US version of this album came out last week, but I stuck it in as an Import here since he needed some filler.  Musically they are not bad, but I hate that screaming growl vocals, and melodic emo chorus formula.  Not my thing.
Branching out....?
Well, if you want a pick that is outside of the metal and rock world, I say go with Glee - The Music, The Rocky Horror Glee Show (Columbia).  Rocky Horror has had Alice Cooper, Sebastian Bach, and Joan Jett in it before, so there is some connection here!

Also, you must see the cover of the MSG live album:
It looks like the graphics for this were done in Microsoft Word.
