Tuesday's Metal Releases

Big Ball - Hotter Than Hell (AFM Records)
Crank Country Daredevils - Crank Country Daredevils (Cockroach Records)
Freedom Call - Legend Of The Shadowking (Steamhammer US)
Uriah Heap - Live At Sweden Rock Festival (earMusic)

THOUGHTS: Crank Country Daredevils is not as southern as it sounds.  It's actually more of a blend between glam rock and something a bit heavy.  It sounds like the latest few Beautiful Creatures albums or Brides Of Destruction, which is a terrible way to reference it since maybe 15% of the people who read this know of them, and maybe .5% of the USA population has heard of that.   Big Ball must have been named after the song 'Big Balls', because the singer has a total Bon Scott thing going on.
Pick Of the Week goes to Uriah Heap for putting out a live album that actually sounds live (aka, not glossed over in the studio).
Pick Of The Weak goes to Freedom Call because no one cares about them and it's unnecessary to release an album.
