Not only is the show on, but Lizzy are on there way to Brooklyn as I type and plan to have doors open at 7:30 tonight. Brooklyn's own Black Water Rising are opening, and tickets are only 12 bucks a pop. Cheaper than a movie ticket in this city, but also not as good as 'free'. Enjoy, Lizzy fans!

Update on tonight's Lizzy Borden show
Lizzy Borden were scheduled to play The Bell House in Gowanus, Brooklyn tonight, but a few days ago rumors went flying around that the show was canceled. This is not true. The show definitely ON. I would bet all the profits from this blog on it. (Enough for a beer at the show at least).

The show was actually canceled twice they said, and even the venue had posted it on their calendar as being the case. I am glad that the band did perform, but there was perhaps two to three dozen people in the venue which was a shame based on the superb level of entertainment one gets from a Lizzy Borden show. I had a blast and the band sounded really great. Black Water Rising were also rather impressive. Photos and commentary are coming soon.
ReplyDeleteYea, I heard the show was EMPTY. Sad. Saw Lizzy when their last album came out and they put on a really great show, so I am not surprised.
