About damn time

Ok, so after today there is one last thing that we can bitch about the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame.... finally, Rush will be inducted (along with Heart, Public Enemy, Donna Summer, Albert King and Randy Newman).   Deep Purple were among the others up for the spot, but being that it's the Rock N Roll HOF and they don't know their ass from their elbow, they seem to feel that Donna summer is just more RnR.

NYC people, here's a heads up...

Tribeca Film Festival is coming up, and while I usually brush it off for having pretentious artsy films, this year there is a documentary being shown on the band, Rush.  The documentary, which is cleverly titled "Rush- The Documentary" is set to be first shown on Saturday, April 24.  All 3 band members will be in attendance, which means you have a chance to see see them in the flesh.  I would love to meet Neil Peart!  The film was created by Sam Dunn, who is known for making "Metal: The headbangers Journey".  While I waasnt a huge fan of that film, I did appreciate the guys passion for metal.

A minute to recognize Canadians of metal

It's the Canadian holiday Victoria day, so let's support our dirty Canucks, whether it be the old fart trios Anvil or Triumph (who are reuniting soon), or crazy fuckers like Voivod and Strapping Young Lad, or thrashers like Exciter and Annihilator (check out their album Alice In Hell and you will fall in love).  

Oh yea..... and this little band known by the name of RUSH.
