Thrash fans will shit themselves with this news

Oh geez, you can bet my golden delicious ass that I will be at this show:   good jesus!

Slayer and Megadeth together on tour???  I dont know if I can handle this!  Both had amazing recent albums, and both front men keep getting injured, the old fucks are incredible live!!  Add in Testament to boot, and this is the thrash tour of the last ten years!!  I must say, I am really happy of the choice of Testament as opener for this instead of the other obvious choice of Anthrax as another co-headliner.  This lineup is ace, and recently I really think that the big four in thrash metal went from Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax to Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and TESTAMENT.
But who needs Metallica when ya got this?

My least favorite band of this bill is Slayer.  I did not think it was possible for Slayer to be my least favorite of anything.

As the Anthrax Turns

I was so sad when all the drama with Anthrax was over.  Well, I am glad to announce that it is still lingering on- Dan Nelson gave an interview with Classic Rock magazine and gave some really golden quotes.  The interviewer was a real pussy, though and never asked about the dumping rumor.  That is why he should have done the interview with me.

Classic Rock: Let's start with the claim from Anthrax that they had to cancel some shows earlier this year, because you told them you were seriously ill.

Dan Nelson: Not true. I never said anything like that. The band decided to pull those dates, and then tried to blame me. I was ready to play the summer shows in Europe and do the Slipknot tour in America after that.

Classic Rock: Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian says that you quit the band, and they accepted your resignation. Is that what happened?

Dan Nelson: I did not quit Anthrax. They fired me, and I only found out about it on the internet. [This is worse than texting, but who knows which side of the sotry is true.  Not me, I'll tell ya that.]

Classic Rock: Why did they do that? Was there an obvious problem between you and the rest of the band?

Dan Nelson: Not that I was aware of. [Except for that time I shat on the upperdeck of the toilet on the bus...?  Was that rumor true?  If so, hilarious.] I thought things were going really well. A lot of people commented that this was the best Anthrax lineup they'd ever seen. Scott himself said I was the best singer he'd worked with — bar none. So, I don't know what was in their minds. I haven't spoken to any of them since July anyway.

Classic Rock: How do you feel now about the band?

Dan Nelson: Look, I'm not at all bitter, and I hold no grudges. It's their band and they have a right to do whatever they want. I genuinely wish them nothing but success.  They're family men who made a career decision, and I hope ANTHRAX gone on to great things. I feel what they now have to do is get back with John Bush — it's the best option for them.

Classic Rock: What happens to Worship Music, the album you recorded with them? Will it ever come out?

Dan Nelson: I don't know. I hope so, because I really [want to get paid] think it's a strong record. But nothing can happen with it without my permission. I co-wrote all the songs on it, mostly with Charlie.

Classic Rock: You've now moved on, and have a new project with Testament drummer Paul Bostaph. How did that come about?
Dan Nelson: Paul saw me playing with Anthrax in Amsterdam earlier in the year, and when he heard I was free, he contacted me [because I am that awesome]. We met up, and things have gone from there.

Classic Rock: What's the style of the band?

Dan Nelson: It's thrashy and heavy, so will appeal to Anthrax and Testament fans. But has the groove and brutality of Pantera, and is also very melodic.  The guitarist is a kid from the Bay Area named Jeremy Epp, who's an unknown, but sensational.  People are gonna love him. We're currently auditioning bassists, [I hear Dave Ellefson needs work] and once we have the right person in place, we'll get ourselves a name, demo some songs and take it from there.

Big shows comin' up...

So many concerts in NYC lately that I need to post pictures and reviews from, so expect a big update in the next few days.

For now embrace the fact that there is are two potentially epic concerts coming up.
The highly rumored "Big Four" of thrash tour (for the retards out there, that's Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax [although I think Testament should take Anthraxs spot in that title]). This tour would be a metal head dream come true. It would be crazy to see Megadave open for Metallica. Seems unreal.

This Anthrax drama is getting boring, but what the hell...

I don't understand why everyone keeps issuing official statements to Blabbermouth.net when they could be doing them to the best blog ever. This is not the point, though. The point is that the Anthrax vs Danthax drama continues on. Dan Nelson officially had this to say:

The Fat Lady Has Sung upon Anthrax

Dinner's over, get out the desert.  It's been officially confirmed from ANTHRAX's manager, Izvor Zivkovic that Dan Nelson is officially out of Anthrax.  Izvor (sweet name!) released the following statement to the site with more Anthrax messages than the F.B.I. in 2001, BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

Anthrax drama minute by minute

***Just updated (2:25pm): rumors now are getting crazier than ever.   Several messages boards are having chats of Dan Nelson pooping on Frankies back as a booze induced prank.  This is based on no facts and anyone with a computer could post something like that..... but still. It's funny.***

More and more is coming out about the demise of Anthrax.  It's time for these guys to throw in the towel for good.  After the way they treated Bush, he will never come back and the most recent reunion tour with Belladonna fell pretty flat.
Two more bits of news have been posted.  First here, if you can read Norwegian then this is a recent blog from a NRK P3 (Norwegian Radio) about the Anthrax-drama.  I got a friend to translate it for me and in a nutshell it says that the European tour manager for Anthrax told them that the entire tour is off.   ....this shit is getting embarrassing.

Secondly, it seems that Anthrax have an official announcement that they will make later tonight.  Five bucks and 6 pack says Dan is out.

And I'll even throw in for good measure, wikipedia is saying JOHN CORABI (hahaha) is set to replace Dan Nelson in Anthrax.  That is complete BS, but it's funny to see the first 'replacement singer' rumors already flying about.

Anthrax Drama continued

Dammnnnnn, Anthrax's European tours has dates dropping like flies!!  As previously reported the first three were canceled due to 'illness', but now later dates of Oslo (the 4th show) and Prague (oddly enough, the 9th show of the tour) have been shut down.

It looks like Dan Nelson is having problems with Dan & Scott. Technically Dan is Anthrax's 8th singer (although really only Turbin, Belladonna & Bush count), so its not like this is the easiest group to get along with.
As the the world turns, I'll keep you posted as more comes out on this.

More lovely Anthrax issues

Ohhh shit, there is drama in the Anthrax camp, ALREADY. These guys are on their fourth singer, and it seems like newboy, Dan Nelson, may already have had enough of Scott Ians bullshit (or he is legitamitely sick- probably the case, but not as fun to imagine). Nelson isn't saying anything too detailed, but he has canceled the first three shows of their latest European tour and left some cryptic messages on his Twitter account. His account, "DanNAnthrax" has since been deleted but before it was, this is what he said:
