Cobalt came to me as a recommendation from a friend. A great recommendation! Cobalt are black metal sorta.... minimalist rock... and a tad sludgey and doomy. Yup. Thats about right. Being that they are just two guys from Denver it's some of the most nonconformist black metal I have heard. One of the two guys is a soldier and keeps being deployed to Iraq. Bummer since this obviously prevents them from touring and creating new music. Plus, their last album was inspired by Hemingway and Hunter S. Thompson, how unsatanic of them!
